We currently have 2 admins, Mike Fallon (Head Admin), and Dylan Smith.
We are here to have fun, competitive racing. Excessive nonsense will NOT be tolerated in Practice, Qualifying, Happy Hour, or the race.
At FSRL, you must obey these rules to race here. These rules are here to make for better, more fun racing.
***********************
Fielding
Currently at FSRL There is a 35 car limit. This is due to the size of the Teamspeak server. Because of this, Drivers who have signed up already will have priority over those who decide to show up without first signing up.
***********************
Points & Championship
We currently operate on a 10 points-paying race schedule. The points system is similar to NASCAR, but the values are different. Instead of points going 43,42,41, etc, Point in FSRL will start at 35, then 34,33,32, etc.
You will only be allowed 1 substitution during the season.
You may not use your substitution in the final race of the season.
**********************
Wrecks
If there is a wreck that is mostly just hard racing, then you will not be penalized. If a wreck is blatantly avoidable, you will face a punishment based on admin discretion.
Intentional wreck - If you intentionally wreck anyone, you will be ejected. No intent wrecking also means no malicious acts, for example putting someone into the wall intentionally, door slamming them, and brake checking someone. This is a Superspeedway Series - odds are if you try to intent wreck someone, others will be involved. Do not try to push the boundaries with this rule.
************************
Cautions
We use manual Cautions - Cautions will be posted via ingame chat as "<<<<CAUTION IS OUT>>>><<<<CAUTION IS OUT>>>> . If anyone besides Mike Fallon or Dylan Smith posts something similar, they will be ejected.
A caution will be thrown for incidents that create a hazard to other drivers. Single car spins down onto the apron may not bring out a caution, depending on whether they impact a wall, and/or based on admin discretion.
If a wreck occurs when cars are attempting to enter the pits for green flag pit stops, a caution will be displayed only if the wreck occurs before the commitment line. Any wreck on pit road will not cause a caution.
When the caution comes out, safely and gradually reduce speed to pace speed. There is no racing back to the line at all.
When the caution comes out, pits are closed until deemed opened by an admin.
You usually will only get 1 opportunity to pit under yellow, unless there is any need to extend the caution.
No cautions once the white flag has flown, you race back to the checkers.
We will have 1 Green-white-checkered attempt. If it is a GWC (past regulation), you will complete those 2 green laps. No yellows.
***********************
Restarts
Restarts are determined by the leader. When the leader enters the restart zone, They can restart the race anywhere in that zone. If the leader does not go by the end of the zone, second place may go. As long as second place does not accelerate before the leader, they may beat them to the line if the leader misses a gear or spins the tires. If positions 2+ accelerate before the leader, they must give the spot(s) up, or else they will be black flagged.
Leader always gets lane choice.
You may pass to whichever side you are on before the line, if the car in front of you slows up (If you are on the outside, you can only pass to the outside, inside cars can pass inside)
Lane changing before the line is not permitted unless its to avoid causing a wreck.
If the restart zone isn't marked on the track, it will be demonstrated in the drivers meeting.
************************
Blocking
Blocking is allowed at all times, as well as low lining. But, if your block causes a checkup which causes a wreck, you are at fault.
************************
Pitting
If you get black flagged for speeding, unsafe pit entry/exit, post it in chat and an admin will clear it. If you were blatantly speeding, or merging too early, you will have to server your penalty. This applies under green conditions. If you feel you weren't speeding, or if you were, that you sufficiently gave up time, we will review it after the race.
If you get any penalty under yellow, you must go EOLL, there is no reason to speed under caution.
While Fake Pitting is allowed, if you hit the commitment cone/location at the beginning of pit road, under yellow flag conditions, you will be forced to go pit, or else go EOLL.
If you enter the pits after the commitment location, and the game gives you a time penalty, you are responsible. Don't count on the restart being delayed.
************************
Race info
All races will be ~100 miles.
The total laps will be EXACTLY 10 less than the posted distance, to allow for a GWC attempt.
>>For example - if the game says 22 to go, it is 12 to go in regulation. if it says 12 ingame, it is 2, and so on.
No passing below the line. If you are forced down there, you must blend back up with the pack within a timely manner.
Do not wreck the leader after the flag, give them a chance to celebrate.
The lucky dog & wave around rules are in effect the entire race.
If you are a lap down, you may stay out and take the wave around regardless if anyone stays out. But you may not pit under that caution.
************************
Etiquette
No excess arguing on Teamspeak, or ingame chat.
You must keep in-game chat clear during the race. Save it for posting blacks, and other important information such as cautions. If anyone spams chat, one warning will be given, they will be put a lap down, even if its on the pace lap.
************************
Teamspeak
You MUST use Teamspeak to race, you do not need a microphone, but your speakers must be enabled.
Excess chat on Teamspeak will result in being muted. The mute may be lifted at the first opportunity, or may stay muted for the remainder of the event if the problem persists.
In Teamspeak you MUST be in the same room during the race unless otherwise noted.
************************
Qualifying
Qualifying will be single-car, 1-2 laps, depending on the track.
Winning the pole gets you 1 bonus point.
************************
Behavior
During all race sessions (practice, qualifying, happy hour, race). you must take things seriously, no excess wrecking in practice, or you will be punished.
